My name is Macello Ibanez and what you are seeing in this exhibition is " LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE WITH ART "
I introduce myself. To tell you a little bit about myself, I am an artist local to Miami with a major focus on photography and also on chalkboard drawings. My photography consists mainly of miniature retro dolls staged, in various situations that express my own personal take on the world I see around me . The images are a playful, colorful,poppy and vibrant representation of Miami. The photos can stand alone, but I also set them in LED light-boxes that add another dimension to the pieces for a truly unique experience.
"LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE WITH ART" collection.
My art work is eco friendly with the use of LED lights since they don't contain mercury or other toxic substances and lasts more than 20 years on. It only consumes less than 80% energy than fluorescent tubes. They are the same lights used for iPhones, tv screens, traffic lights and computer screens. My light boxes can be used as a lamp in any area of the house and they have a remote control to regulate the intensity of the light.
I have used LED light boxes to create these wall pieces in order to show my way of evolving art. This is a great idea because my art work is pop and colorful and I have found a way to show case that. I think it is a cool and innovative idea and I wanted to be one of the first ones to implement this in art. I have incorporated my organic drawings and photography by mixing them into a digital image and the final outcome is what you see before you. In this collection I have created the illusion that art is alive. And the message that I want to transmit is: Happiness, Creativity, Uniqueness & Fun! In other words: "LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE WITH ART" and enjoy my work!
